A grey day yes, but still nice for a short photo-walk along the Dudley Number Two Canal at the beautiful area known as Bumble Hole! Starting at Bumble Hole Bridge going past the Visitor Centre and as far as the south entrance to the 2768m Netherton Tunnel. Back towards the visitor centre via another path. This post pulls together a set of photos taken on the 23rd February from the south facing 18th floor terrace of the 103 Colmore Row building and shows in mapped format what can be seen of the Birmingham skyline particularly of some great modern and classic architecture.
Take this trail (walk, cycle or bus) between Perrott's Folly and Sarehole Mill and enjoy many of the places connected with the world renowned author, J.R.R. Tolkien during his time in Birmingham between 1895 and 1911.
